Payments for people who care for someone
Carer Payment is an income support payment for people who give constant daily care to someone with a severe disability, illness or frailty. It uses the same income and assets tests as the Age Pension. Carer Allowance is a separate extra payment that’s income tested but isn’t reduced by your own pay from work.
